Paul Piotrowski is an Equity Research Analyst covering Special Situations at M Partners. Prior to that, Paul served as an Equity Research Associate. Paul covers companies in a variety of industries including cannabis, construction, health care, renewable energy and technology. Before joining M Partners, Paul occupied the position of Analyst at Lexington Park Real Estate Capital Inc. Paul holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Mr. Douglas Loe is a Managing Director & Analyst for Leede Jones Gable. Mr. Loe is an MBA and holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He brings more than a decade of experience to financial analysis in the global drug development, medical technology, healthcare services and specialty pharmaceutical sectors. Mr. Loe has been recognized as one of Canada’s top healthcare analysts by the Star Mine Analysts Awards, based on the quality of his recommendations to institutional investors. With his extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, Mr. Loe analyzes and publishes his views on trends in the sector and interprets them within the context of a diversified suite of companies under coverage, many of which locked in substantial returns for investors over the last several quarters.
Justin Keywood is a Healthcare and Special Situations Analyst at Stifel GMP, where he joined in 2012. Mr. Keywood has over 10 years of extensive experience in Financial Analysis spanning across various sectors, with a particular focus on Technology and Healthcare. His unique approach to stock analysis, includes primary-type research in generating specialized insights with customers and industry experts, in order to deeply understand companies and investment opportunities beyond traditional analysis. Prior to joining GMP, Justin worked in business development at a global financial services and software data firm. Justin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Finance from the University of Guelph and is a CFA chaterholder since 2011.
Richard Close has been a senior research analyst for more than 20 years and has been covering the healthcare technology and services sector for more than 15 years. A focus of Richard’s research efforts is introducing the investment community to disruptive and innovative companies that are leading the digital transformation in healthcare aimed at improved outcomes and financial efficiencies. Before joining Canaccord Genuity in 2015, he was a managing director covering healthcare at Avondale Partners and at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, he published research on the business services and education technology sectors while at Jefferies and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.
Rahul holds a PhD and MASc in biomedical engineering from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the University of Oxford. Before joining Raymond James, Rahul was a Healthcare/Biotechnology equities analyst with Paradigm Capital, a boutique investment bank in Toronto. Prior to Paradigm, his roles included Director of Business Development at the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine, Investment Manager with the Toronto-based MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, and Strategic Marketing Analyst with GE Healthcare’s headquarters in the U.K.
Stefan has over 18 years of experience in financial markets identifying promising companies and investment opportunities in the Healthcare sector. Before joining Echelon, Stefan was responsible for Healthcare sector investments as an associate portfolio manager at Sentry/CI Global Asset Management, for funds totaling over $11B in AUM. Previously, he has worked as a Healthcare equity analyst for Morningstar, Macquarie, Orion Securities (acquired by Macquarie) and Desjardins Securities. Stefan started his career as a consultant at the World Bank as part of a satellite and Web-based distance education project called the African Virtual University. Stefan holds an MBA (Finance) and a BSc (Joint Major Biology and Environmental Sciences) from McGill University and is CFA charterholder.
Bill Sutherland is an Equity Research Analyst focused on Digital Health and Healthcare Services. His coverage focus includes companies providing virtual care and remote patient monitoring, value-based care, and post acute and alternate site healthcare services. He was previously a senior research analyst with Northland Securities, Director of Research with Boenning & Scattergood, and a senior research analyst with Janney Montgomery Scott and Wheat First Butcher & Singer (Wells Fargo). Bill holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Columbia University.
